Gunner. He was the son of Maj Arthur Lindley and Winifred Kate
Lindley, of Ashtead, Surrey. Arthur Lindley married Winifred K
Hewson in Sheffield during 1917. Arthur Alan H Lindley's birth
registered Sheffield 6/1920 9c 1302 & Keith R H Lindley's
birth registered Sheffield 6/1924 9c 1154.
His brother P/O Keith
Lindley was a pilot on 12 Sqn, killed on a training flight on
26 Feb 1945. He is also named on the Ashtead War Memorial.
